Bold And The Beautiful News Round-Up For The Week (August 8, 2022)

Now that Douglas’s secret is out, what happens next? Will Ridge finally learn the truth about what Brooke did on New Year’s Eve? Will Steffy and Taylor get involved? How will Sheila react? The Bold & The Beautiful (B&B) fans just love speculating on storylines! As such, below are some B&B plotline predictions for February 2022.

12. Thomas Turns To Steffy

With Douglas just confessing what he saw, it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to see that Thomas will run to Steffy with what his son has said. The two siblings will be floored, but also somewhat giddy with this information. It means they finally have the ammunition to break up Brooke’s marriage so that Ridge can reunite with Taylor.

11. Steffy Won’t Leave A Stone Unturned

But before they unleash the truth to Ridge, Steffy won’t want to leave a stone unturned. Her father should take Douglas’ word for what he saw, but Steffy will likely want concrete proof before she exposes all. B&B spoilers tease that Steffy will try to get her hands on some security footage of Deacon coming back to the house on New Year’s Eve. Even if Brooke denies anything happened between her and her ex, the fact that Deacon was there (and she lied about it) looks awful.

10. Taylor Will Be The One To Tell Ridge

B&B spoilers suggest that Taylor might be the one to tell Ridge what Brooke did. Once Steffy gets her hands on some real evidence, she’ll run to her mom with it. This is a delicate situation, so it’s surprising that Tay-Tay would be the one to spill the beans. She may present a united front with both Thomas and Steffy. Then again, they may all decide it’s better for one person to tell Ridge that his wife kissed another man. He’ll be sad, emotional and embarrassed. Tay might be the only one who can tactfully tell her ex about the secret.

9. Ridge Crosses A Line With Taylor

If Taylor tells him what happened on NYE between Deacon and Brooke, could he cross a line with her? She may tell him that all Douglas saw was the two of them kissing, but he may come up with a conclusion that his wife (fully) cheated on him with Deacon by spending the night together. They did end up in bed but did nothing else. Will Ridge believe that? Will he get caught up in emotion and cross a line with Ms. Hayes?

8. The End Of Brooke And Ridge As Fans Know It

Once Ridge finds out, he’ll confront Brooke. There’s no way she’d turn her own sweet grandson into a liar, so she’ll admit to the kiss but clarify that nothing else happened. Will this be enough for Ridge? He may decide it’s time to end things, or possibly ask for a separation to allow him time to clear his head.

7. Brooke Gets Support

B&B spoilers hint that Brooke will have some support. Hope will do all she can to help her mom during this hard time, while added teasers imply that Eric will also be a friend to her. Liam will be there to support Hope through this, so he’ll likely also listen to his mother-in-law’s woes. With that said, at some point in February, Steffy will confront her stepmother and rip into her. Sounds like it’ll be a one-sided thing; Brooke feels awful about what she’s done and may feel she deserves what she gets.

6. Sheila Gloats

Once the news hits Sheila, she’ll revel in the destruction she’s caused. She doesn’t have many people she can do this with, but Deacon is still someone she chats with. She’ll likely try to push him to see if the two did more than just kiss. With that said, could she slip up and say something that might incriminate her role in all of this?

5. Deacon Has His Suspicions

If Deacon sees anything out of the ordinary or Sheila slips up, he may have his suspicions that Ms. Carter switched Brooke’s non-alcoholic beverages on New Year’s Eve. He may even somehow come across the truth. Would he confront her? Would he even tell Brooke, or leave things be? After all, Brooke and Ridge breaking up is exactly what he wants.

4. Could Bridget Return?

Actress Ashley Jones, ex-Bridget Forrester, was recently on Bold Live, the daytime drama’s YouTube series. A fan asked about the potential of Ms. Forrester returning to the soap, and she admitted she would love to come back. February sweeps is a time for unexpected character returns, and while nothing has been stated in this regard, Bridget returning to LA would be an interesting angle. She’s not only Brooke’s daughter and Hope’s sister, but Deacon’s ex. In fact, she was married to the con when he cheated on her with her mom to conceive Hope. It would be interesting to see her come back, and maybe it’s only a matter of time before she does!

Over to other storylines, Grace seems very unsettled about Paris not accepting Zende’s proposal. She caught Carter and Paris together, so will she try to sabotage their budding romance (or fling… whatever these two are up to)? Would she follow through on blackmailing Carter? She will scheme, plot and manipulate to keep these two apart.

2. Could Quinn Get Involved?

Quinn designed Paris’ engagement ring. If she learns that Paris isn’t wearing her masterpiece, could she get to the bottom of things? She’ll continue to “work” on her marriage with Eric this February, but what if she stumbles across Paris and Carter together? Could she get involved with keeping Carter and Paris separated out of sheer jealousy? Could she join forces with Grace?

Carter feels guilty enough about what he’s doing with Paris, and despite trying to resist her charm, he hasn’t been able to break it off. Or he may feel cornered or pressured into staying away, thanks to momma bear Grace.
