Of course, having alienated virtually everyone she’s ever known, Sheila won’t have friends to share this devious news with. The only two people who (sort of) tolerate her are Deacon and Taylor, so she’ll look for some company to share in this moment. But will her good mood cause her to slip up and confess her part in Brooke’s relapse?

4. Will Deacon Get Wise?

Normally we’d put our money on the world-renowned psychiatrist over the guy who sleeps in a broom closet — but in this case, we’re rooting for Deacon to uncover Sheila’s plot. After all, Deacon has already suspected that the non-alcoholic champagne might’ve been sabotaged. He has also wondered aloud why Sheila can’t stop asking about Brooke’s New Year’s Eve. So, will a light bulb turn on? Surely, he wants Brooke and Ridge to break up, but he also wants the best for his ex and daughter. What would he do with this intel?

3. Hope And Liam On High Alert

Once Ridge moves out, Hope and Liam will be on high alert as they try to support Brooke. Even Eric will do what he can to keep Brooke’s spirits up. The threat of another relapse will be on everyone’s minds, and neither Hope nor Liam will want Brooke to spend too much time alone. As a result, Douglas will sense this new tension and struggle with feelings of guilt.

2. Douglas Becomes A Focus

Once the shock wears off for Thomas and Steffy that Deacon spent New Year’s Eve at Brooke’s, they’ll be just as upset that Grandma Brooke had pressured Douglas to keep it a secret. Taylor has already made her position clear that Thomas should be the legal guardian of his son. So when she discovers Brooke’s attempt to keep Douglas quiet, the tensions between the Logans and Forresters will multiply.

Meanwhile, Douglas will feel responsible for the fresh divisions in his family and further withdraw. The sensitive little guy will become despondent and perhaps even misbehave, leading Thomas to consider asking Hope for full custody of his son. If this storyline dovetails with Steffy’s confrontation, Hope might fight back against Thomas’ suit out of family solidarity.
