Bold And The Beautiful News Round-Up For The Week (August 8, 2022)

The past week has offered an exciting (and bewildering) series of events, making audiences wonder: what could possibly happen next on The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B)? If the explanation about Vinny’s passing, or Justin single-handedly kidnapping Thomas, felt like a bit of a stretch, fresh spoilers indicate that the full story has yet to come out. Also, Brooke lands a devastating blow on Quinn’s vow renewal, but doesn’t anticipate the collateral damage. Let’s look at storylines to come with the below plotline predictions for June 28th to July 9th, 2021.

12. So, No Murder After All?

There are many valid and unanswered questions as B&B continues to unravel its Vinny Walker murder mystery. The most pressing questions that audiences are gawking over surround Vinny’s video message. How did Vinny know that Liam would be behind the wheel of the car that night? Why would he surrender his own life for such a wishy-washy motive? These are all strange developments. While it’s one thing to assume that show-writers rushed to the resolution of this much-hyped mystery, we should still expect these plot holes to be addressed over the coming weeks.

11. Ghost Calls

On top of these contentious plot points, there’s the question of how Vinny sent his video message to Thomas after he’d passed away. Although it would be a literal example of ghost dialling, it seems absurd for B&B to suggest that Vinny hit send after capturing his own demise on video. Add in the fact that police would’ve had access to Vinny’s phone data through his cellular service provider from the start, and we’re hoping that there’s more story to tell here.

10. Did Justin Act Alone?

If it’s possible that an unnamed party hit “send” after filming Vinny’s last video, perhaps that same person helped Justin carry an unconscious Thomas from Forrester Creations all the way to the basement of Spencer Publications. (Otherwise, we can’t explain that one either!) As Thomas was last seen at work, surely the L.A.P.D. will check security footage and wonder why Bill Spencer’s personal attorney appears to be dragging a human-sized duffel bag down the halls.

9. Where’s Thomas?

It’s a joyous moment as Steffy and Finn welcome their baby boy into the world. But when Ridge arrives to congratulate his daughter and meet his grandson for the first time, surely someone will ask when Thomas will pay his new nephew a visit. If we can assume that Thomas drove to work (and since this show takes place in L.A., we can), his abandoned car will be noticed at Forrester Creations eventually. Spoilers indicate that Thomas will remain locked in a cage for the duration of next week, at least. So we can expect Ridge to rally a search party for Thomas over the coming days.

8. Save Or Delete

Certain B&B spoilers hint that these rampant plot holes exist because we haven’t seen the end of Vinny’s video yet. As viewers will remember, Thomas watched until after Vinny had stepped out in front of Bill’s sports car and the Spencers exited the car, but was too emotional to continue. Now that Justin is in possession of the phone, could an unseen remainder of the video still shed light on the full story? Couldn’t that also explain how the video was sent to Thomas in the first place?

7. A Desperate Agreement

Thomas and Justin’s lives have intertwined at an interesting time, as the Forrester is fighting to redeem himself while Barber is suddenly breaking bad. In their confrontations, they’ve seen a little of themselves in each other, so it’s possible that Thomas will find a chip in Justin’s armor and begin to reason with him. After all, if the two come to an agreement that is contingent on Thomas’s silence, nobody else will know that Justin has done anything illegal.

6. Justin Likely Won’t Recover From This

Perhaps Wyatt’s mounting suspicions about Justin will force the lawyer to abandon his diabolical scheme and let Bill and Liam off the hook. But the odds of this happening look slimmer by the day. It appears that Justin is willing to go down as a criminal. Although it’s odd that Wyatt is more suspicious of Justin’s priorities than Bill, who maintains a blind faith in his attorney despite weeks in prison, we’re expecting Bill’s eldest son to play a contributing role in Justin’s downfall.

5. Brooke Gets The Upper Hand

Let’s move on to Queric’s vow renewal! Moments before the ceremony begins, Brooke will take Paris aside and force the former social worker to spill the beans. (Paris probably won’t need a lot of prodding.) Brooke will descend the Forrester mansion staircase and interrupt the proceedings, much to the vocal dismay of Ridge, Eric and, of course, Quinn. She will announce that Quinn and Carter had been sleeping together!

4. More Than One Marriage Will End

Such an opportunity for revenge will be too great for Brooke to pass up, and although she will land a devastating blow on her nemesis Quinn (in the name of Eric, she’ll insist), nobody else will see her motives as altruistic. Eric will be left publicly embarrassed by the spectacle around his wife’s affair, and Ridge will be furious about the way Brooke leapt at her chance.

3. Honey Bear Will Move On

On the plus side, Eric will take solace in Donna’s company over the next few weeks. Donna not only wants what’s best for him, but realizes that he was her one true love. It’ll be difficult for Quinn to contend with Donna after Eric discovers the truth.

2. Carter Will Be Disillusioned

Carter will also be mortified by the accusation but refuse to defend himself. His face will reveal nothing but guilt, and Zoe will dash out of the ceremony. Will the Forrester COO be able to save his engagement with Zoe, let alone his job? Or, with the burden of truth lifted, will he and Quinn now see a silver lining in the wake of all the damage they’ve caused — a chance to be together, publicly.

1. Zoe’s Last Stand

Kiara Barnes has finished filming her last scenes for the CBS soap, and will make her last appearance on July 6th. So whatever Zoe does in reaction to this terrible deception, it’s going to happen over the next two weeks. B&B spoilers are very hush-hush about Zoe’s last scenes but they lean one of two ways: either she’ll leave town emotionally exhausted, or she’ll hatch an impulsive and dangerous plan against Quinn.
