12. Judith Chapman Returns To DOOL

Soap opera legend Judith Chapman will be returning to the land of Salem in late January playing the role of Diana Cooper. DOOL fans will remember that Chapman was cast in the role of Anjelica Deveraux in 1990, and returned for a special appearance as Anjelica this past Halloween on the show.

11. Diana Wreaks Havoc

Young and the Restless (Y&R) fans will also remember Chapman as Gloria Bardwell, and interestingly enough, she played mom to character Kevin Fisher, who was played by actor Greg Rikaart (Days’ current Leo). Well, Diana also happens to be Leo’s mom, which is sure to re-create the stellar mother-son dynamic that both Chapman and Rikaart displayed on the Y&R. But there’s more to Diana’s story, and DOOL winter spoilers tease that Cooper will unleash a ton of havoc on Salem when she strolls in.

10. Trouble in Jarlena Paradise?

Trouble is headed for John and Marlena, as Diana Cooper is the infamous Dianna Colville (formerly played by actress Genie Francis), a character that was established in the late 1980s. Long-time DOOL fans will recall that Diana and John were actually a thing back in the day, and with her return, she is sure to cause a ton of problems for Jarlena. Plus, could Leo be Black’s son?

9. Ciara Returns

In other DOOL returns come this winter, while actress Victoria Konefal left the soap recently, as Ciara went to visit ex-beau Theo, the good news is that this exit is only a temporary one. Ciara will return to Salem with a bang come February launching a huge storyline with her and Ben. #JustInTimeForSweeps

8. Jordan Ridgeway Is Back

Speaking of Ben, actress (and Justin Hartley’s wife) Chrishell Stause Hartley returns to the DOOL cast to reprise her Jordan Ridgeway role. She will undoubtedly offer support to her brother Ben, but will she also dive into some romance? Rafe is out of town helping Sami out, but when he returns, could Jordan (and Ted) place a wedge between Rope?

7. Nicole Walker Comeback

DOOL fans all believed she was dead back in late 2018, and Nicole Walker very well still might be; however, as per the Days app actress Arianne Zucker is set for a return, and she was slated for a comeback along with Paul Telfer (the actor who plays Xander). Xander is alive, well, and back in Salem, so Nicole might not be too far behind. But, will she return to the land of living, or will the show bring her back as a ghost?

6. Baby Holly Custody

Speaking of Nicole, her daughter’s custody will continue to be a huge storyline moving forward during the winter season. DOOL spoilers indicate that a number of characters will come forward, interested in gaining custody of the toddler. Does this mean Eric’s days as her guardian are numbered? Will Nicole swoop in alive and well, and take over from there? Only time will tell.

5. Threat On Chloe

Chloe has made it no secret: she would love to raise Baby Holly, and as the child’s surrogate mother, the two definitely have a bond. Well, come late January, DOOL spoilers indicate that a cryptic threat will be thrown Chloe’s way. Could it have to do with the custody battle? Maybe her relationship with Brady? Or could Xander be behind it all? You’ll have to tune it to find out!

DOOL winter spoilers reveal that a secret shall be exposed this season that will rock fans to their core! In fact, said explosive secret will affect a variety of Salemites when it hits the fan. Days spoilers also indicate he’ll continue to wreak havoc for some couples in Salem as well, messing with their relationships.

2. Goodbye, Kate!

Sad news for Abigail fans! The actress who plays Abby, Kate Mansi, has already wrapped up filming and the character is headed out of town very soon. Kate reprised her DOOL role in November 2018 and will be seen until late February. Such a shame that Abby will be written off, especially with the downfall of Gabi and the return of her dad Jack.

1. New Stefan

Recast alert! Actor Tyler Christopher, who currently plays Stefan O. DiMera on the show, will be off the soap for a while, on a leave of absence (for personal reasons). Replacing him is fellow General Hospital alumni, actor Brandon Barash. No final airdate has been announced for Tyler, but fans should expect the Stefan “switch” to occur come March.
