13. The Truth About Gwen

Days spoilers are hinting that the truth around Gwen’s intentions should be revealed soon. Her confrontation with Jack recently offered some cryptic hints in the form of a potential connection to Deveraux. A comment she made about “disappointing” or “abandoning” family raised some eyebrows with DOOL fans. She’ll drop some more teasers during a conversation with Kate this month. She’s probably an illegitimate child of Jack’s.

12. Fam Jam Gets To The Bottom Of Things

Jack, Jenn, and Abby will have a conversation in January, and it seems as if they’ll be able to get to the bottom of Gwen and her intentions. Jenn and Jack have made an incredible duo over the years when it comes to investigative reporting, and the apple hasn’t fallen far from the tree. The three could figure out that Gwen is Jack’s long-lost daughter, and is taking out her feelings of abandonment on Abigail.

Once Jack learns the truth, he’ll feel horrible about Gwen. 10. Gwen Reveals All

While Chad will be looking to bury their one-night stand, Gwen will be looking for the perfect opportunity to expose it. She’ll find the right time, during a heated argument and make it seem as if it just “slipped” out. All while adding a thin layer of gloating for Abby to see. Abigail will lose her mind!

9. Gwen’s Nine Months Of Drama

Abigail and Chad are sure to break up or separate. As the weeks in January roll on, Gwen and Chad will drift apart; after all, Chad will make it clear he wants Abby, not her. That’s when Gwen will reveal she’s expecting. She’s only been with Chad, so the baby will be his. This will make the chances of a family reunion between Gwen, Abby, and Jack nearly impossible.

8. Viv’s Back … Now What?

What could have Vivian Alamain returning to Days? It was announced in early December that soap opera icon Linda Dano would be joining DOOL, recast as Vivian Alamain, a part once played by Louise Sorel. Could she have the goods on Gwen? Could she know what Gwen’s intentions are, and announce them? There is still a chance that the young Brit could be Peter Blake’s daughter, and simply seeking revenge on Jack (through Abigail) for “stealing” away Jennifer.

7. Gwen Is Jenn’s?

Or could Gwen be Jenn’s daughter? Sounds over-the-top, but this is Days. If they can write up a story where Will Horton comes to life, they can figure out a way to make Gwen, Jennifer’s daughter. If Gwen were Jenn’s daughter, it would make sense as to why she wanted to ruin Abigail’s life. After all, Abby got everything that Gwen’s wanted, and more. All because Jenn chose Jack, and not Peter.

6. Viv Causes Trouble

In all seriousness, Vivian could return to Salem to place a wrench in the Kate/Jake relationship. Kate can’t stand Alamain and the two have a very rich history as foes. There’s no way Vivian is willing to stand by and watch Kake flaunt their relationship all around Salem. She’ll be ready to put a stop to it all.

5. Charlie Is Exposed

Charlie, and all his terrible deeds, will finally be exposed in January. From sexually assaulting Allie to kidnapping and drugging Ava, not to mention the small fact that he’s not only Tripp’s brother but Henry’s father, everything will come to the surface. There will be a lot of people who feel terrible about the way they treated Tripp, with Kayla and Allie being the most remorseful.

4. Kayla and Ava Reach Common Ground

Kayla will feel terrible about how she treated Tripp, and in many ways, she’ll feel bad about what’s happened to Ava. Vitali will be rescued by Rafe when all is said and done, but Kayla will be the one to help calm Ava down when she “comes to” after the entire ordeal. Seems as if the women might be able to put their differences aside to move forward.

If Ava stays in Salem for the long run, Rafe may catch her eye. She may even be able to move away from her toxic past to enjoy a healthy relationship for once!

Speaking of new couple alert, Tripp and Allie were attracted to each other in London and had things worked out differently, they might be together right now. With the truth coming out about Charlie, could these two become an item? Meanwhile, across town, Ben will stop Claire from sleeping with Charlie, as he and the crew will find out what the young man has been up to. Could Claire and Ben find romance together? They’ll bond in January, and may slowly head toward that hill as winter passes.
