Days Of Our Lives News Round-Up For The Week (March 7, 2022)

With Days of Our Lives (DOOL) moving to Peacock in two weeks, what should fans expect in Salem during their final days on cable? Drama, adventure, romance and a major cliffhanger! There’s nothing soap viewers love to do more than speculate on storylines, so below are some DOOL plotline predictions for August 29th to September 9th, 2022.

13. All’s Well That Ends Well

Orpheus has kidnapped Kayla and Marlena, but it looks like he’ll add to his numbers during the week of August 29th by bringing Kate Roberts along for the ride. The clock will be ticking as Steve, Roman and John set out to save their loves, and DOOL spoilers for the week of September 5th indicate that the ladies will be saved. Orpheus’ plan will fail and he’ll likely either be presumed deceased (“perishing” in a fashion that allows him to swing back into storylines later) or land back in prison. Despite a ton of twists and turns this week, the story will end well by the time Friday hits.

12. What Will Happen To Sonny?

From the looks of scene previews and Days spoilers, Sonny will be stabbed in the same fashion that Abigail was. Will he survive, or is he — like Abby — a goner? Paramedics will arrive on the scene, so there’s a chance that Mr. Kiriakis will go to the hospital. Things may look “iffy”, but he’ll likely pull through.

11. Is Leo Behind Both Stabbings?

Leo has been a main suspect in Abigail’s stabbing, and DOOL spoilers hint he’ll be lingering around the scene both before and after Sonny gets stabbed this coming week. So, there will be a lot of speculation about him being the person behind both incidents. But as with any whodunit storyline, Stark seems like too much of an obvious choice. Someone else has to be behind both stabbings. There has to be more to this story.

10. Gwen Gets Off

DOOL spoilers for this week tease that Gwen and Chad will have an encounter, and she’ll insist she’s not the one behind Abigail’s passing. It seems like they’ll have this conversation around the same time that Sonny gets stabbed. If Kiriakis is stabbed with the same knife as Abigail — and in the same fashion or location — could Rizczech’s timely conversation with Chad vindicate her? This could very well prove that she’s not behind things after all.

9. Chad Becomes An Even Bigger Mess

Whether Sonny ends up being okay or not, Chad will continue to struggle with his mental health. After all, when Kiriakis gets stabbed, Chad will likely come to the conclusion that he’s the reason why his wife was murdered. Someone has a major issue with him, and is therefore targeting his loved ones. He could have a mental health breakdown. What could this mean for his children?

8. Wedding Bells Are Ringing (For Real Now)

Some good news for fans caught up in all this drama and despair. DOOL spoilers for the week of September 5th imply that Xander and Sarah could finally get hitched. They say the third time is the charm, right? Instead of a splashy wedding, it looks like Xander and Sarah will say “I do” in a quickie ceremony that will likely still be romantic and beautiful.

7. New Couple Alert

It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to see that Alex and Stephanie will probably become the new super couple in Salem. Kiriakis is smitten, but Steph seems a tad wary about it all. He’ll likely have to work overtime in the weeks ahead to even get her to agree to go out on a date, but it does seem as if the two already have chemistry. Wonder what their cousin Ciara would think of all this? She’s related to both of them through her Kiriakis and Brady genes!

6. Work Hard, Play Hard

Even if Stephanie wants nothing to do with Alex, it looks like she’ll be thrown into his orbit through work. DOOL spoilers imply that before Sonny gets stabbed, he’ll be working overtime to get her to agree to come on board at Titan. Added teasers hint that even after Sonny’s stabbing, Victor will want them working closely on a project. Sounds like whether Steph likes it or not, she’ll be stuck spending more time with Mr. Kiriakis.

5. Love Triangle Heats Up

There’s some sort of chemistry between Ava and Johnny. And whether they like it or not, there are also sparks between Ava and EJ. The hate-on EJ and Vitali have for each other will only drive Ava to bond further with Johnny, enraging his dad even more. Who will get the first kiss from Vitali? It’ll likely be the younger DiMera, which will drive EJ nuts. But, could another man enter this equation?

4. Another Encounter For Ava

Speaking of Ava, DOOL spoilers seem to hint that Vitali will have another “encounter” at the DiMera crypt during the week of September 5th. Looks like she could run into Stefan again, but this time around may prove to be different. There’s a good chance Rolf will successfully brainwash him by this point, or simply wash away any memories of love he once had. Either way, Vitali will be confused when she sees Stefan but he’ll reveal that he isn’t Jake, but rather his twin brother.

3. Plot Twist In The Plan

While washing away Stefan’s memories could be bad news for Kristen — as she wants him to pursue Chloe — Li wouldn’t lose sleep over it, as all he wants is for Stefan to stay away from Gabi. With that said, Stefan bonding with Ava wouldn’t be good for Shin’s plan, either. This would only motivate Hernandez even more to get back what was once hers. Plus, she may still have some bad blood over the fact that Jake turned to Ava so quickly after the two of them broke up.

2. Little Rachel Stirs Up the Drama

Kristen would love nothing more than for Chloe to turn to Stefan, but if Stefan isn’t brainwashed enough, her plan B could be her daughter. Rachel is a sweet and innocent child, however she also has DiMera blood coursing through those veins. From the looks of Days spoilers, she could become mommy’s little accomplice in helping break up Chloe and Brady, so that her family is reunited once more.

1. Massive Cliffhanger On The Horizon

Days is moving to Peacock, with the last episode airing on NBC next Friday, September 9th. A major cliffhanger is sure to happen around this date to motivate remaining fans who haven’t subscribed to Peacock yet. Will viewers find out who really stabbed Abigail and Sonny that final Friday? Maybe a character will pass away? A major return (looking at you, Bo Brady)? It’s hard to say, but DOOL is likely to leave NBC that Friday with a bang!
