Days Of Our Lives News Round-Up For The Week (March 7, 2022)

It’s going to be an explosive two weeks on Days of Our Lives (DOOL)! Will Eli live to tell the truth about his confrontation with TR? What caused the shooting in the first place? How will Marlena react when she learns the truth about Johnny? Will anyone believe Susan’s ramblings about Belle? There’s nothing more fun than speculating on storylines! As such, below are some DOOL plotline predictions for March 14th to 25th, 2022.

12. Eli Gets A Visit

Before diving into Eli’s shooting, it’s time to rewind a bit. DOOL spoilers for this coming week suggest that he’ll get an unexpected visitor in the form of Beth, TR Coates’s ex-girlfriend. Added teasers note that she’ll tell him something that will have his blood boiling. There’s a good chance that she’ll share stories that reveal TR hasn’t changed one bit. This will have Eli upset and on the defensive.

11. Eli Gets Shot

This week’s Days preview video shows Eli and TR fighting. Eli tries to attack Coates and he pulls out a gun. Scenes flash and the gun goes off. From the looks of it, Eli gets shot in the head. Shawn and Lani find him, and he gets rushed to the hospital. There’s a good chance no one knows that TR was the one who shot him, and Coates will likely keep that secret hidden.

10. Is TR As Bad As Everyone Thinks He Is?

Could Beth have made up the stories about TR? It does look like he has changed, but then again, shooting Eli isn’t something a “nice” father-in-law would do. Coates is a hard character to read, as he’s relatively new to Salem. Maybe everything Beth told Eli was a lie? Perhaps he dated her before he “changed”. Then, when Eli confronted him, he could’ve pulled the gun to stop the cop from attacking him, not meaning to harm him. During the struggle, the gun might’ve accidentally gone off. This would make TR look bad, even though it was not done on purpose.

9. Will TR Fess Up?

This could go two ways. If TR is a good guy, he’ll want to fess up to Eli’s shooting but may get “stopped” at every turn, due to the chaos. If he’s a bad guy, he’ll do all he can to hide his involvement in the shooting. He may even try to ax Eli (or jeopardize his recovery) to keep him quiet. Only time will tell!

8. Third Time’s The Charm?

Ben’s about to tell Marlena that the Devil hasn’t left Salem as she assumed. Evans will likely be stunned, shaken and scared at the idea that Satan jumped from her body into her grandson’s. She’ll let John know, and over the next two weeks, the two will gear up for exorcism #3. The third time’s the charm, right?

7. Allie’s Feelings

In the same week that John and Marlena find out about Johnny’s possession, it seems as if Allie may admit her feelings to Chanel. It’ll be interesting because both Ms. Dupree and Ms. Horton are sure to learn that the reason Johnny has been acting like a jerk is due to the Devil. But this will happen after Allie professes her love to Dupree. Then, Marlena and John will tell the ladies about Devil Johnny and ask Chanel and Allie for help during the exorcism. In order for this to work, the two ladies will agree to suppress their more-than-friendly feelings until after Johnny is “saved”. But knowing that the “Devil made him do it”, will Chanel even want to be with Allie, or will she choose Johnny?

6. Will Anyone Listen To Susan?

With Ciara, Ben and now John and Marlena in the know about Devil Johnny, will anyone believe Susan’s rambling about Belle being possessed? They’ll likely think Banks is just being kooky, but what about EJ? She’s set to visit him during the week of March 21st, and DOOL spoilers note that she’ll have a premonition. She may be horrified to see a vision that reveals EJ and Belle “together”, as she believes the woman is possessed. Fans will be intrigued, however, as Banks’s premonitions are rarely wrong. Plus, there does seem to be a ton of chemistry between these two characters.

5. Chad Learns The Truth

Could Susan’s premonition be about EJ leaving prison? Days spoilers for the week of March 21st suggest that Chad will learn the truth about what really happened that day in the courthouse between his brother and Abigail. Once he learns that the Devil was behind it all, will Chad make things right? Will he retract his testimony — or try to prove that Lucas was the real kidnapper — to “save” EJ?

4. Will Chad Have Time?

Chad DiMera will be very busy over the next two weeks. Between celebrating that his wife is back home and learning about Devil Johnny, he’ll also agree to help his two best friends. DOOL spoilers note that Will and Sonny will turn to Chad for assistance with Leo. For one reason or another, the two feel it’s their “duty” to awaken Craig to the “real Leo Stark”. So, what’s their plan? For Chad to seduce Stark, so that Craig can see for himself that his new boyfriend isn’t exactly who he says he is. Can DiMera pull this off? Will he even have the time for it?

3. Leo May Show His Own True Colors

DOOL spoilers for this week imply that Leo will encourage Craig to find a job in Salem, so the two can grow roots in the little town. Stark will suggest snagging Kayla’s job, and in doing so, could Leo show his true colors? Will Craig see that it’s wrong to steal someone’s job right out from under them?

2. Craig Senses Something…

With Leo’s suggestion, Craig may sense that things seem odd but he’ll shrug off that idea. With that said, if Chad can get Leo in bed and Craig sees them together, it could be the end for this new Salem super couple. But do fans want to see this? Sure, Stark is a schemer, but he’s so fun to see on Days! (Actor Greg Rikaart recently said he’s on a new storyline “arc”, so Salem will have to get used to Leo for a while yet!)

1. Kayla’s “Dire” News

Over to Maggie, she’ll have a lot to deal with over the next two weeks. DOOL spoilers note that not only will Xander suggest that Sarah should be hospitalized, but Kayla will have dire news for her. Could it be that there’s no hope her daughter will ever regain her memory? Perhaps the only hospital that deals with this sort of memory loss is out of town, or out of state. Could it be that Sarah has a brain tumor because of the shot Kristen gave her, and she only has a short amount of time left to live?
