As such, below are some DOOL plotline predictions for winter 2021.

12. Sami’s Hallmark Movie Special

Actress Alison Sweeney (Sami) has been in a ton of Hallmark Christmas movies over the years, and while each one is different, the overarching theme can be similar at times. A small-town girl returns home after the harsh realities of the “city” get to her, so she can come back to her “roots” and live a simpler life. If Sami and E.J. break up, Brady could return to Salem because her heart has been broken. She might do some soul-searching and realize that home is where her heart is, which is where her family is.

11. Exes Reunite

Most times in these Hallmark movies the main character reunites with an old boyfriend, so enter Lucas Horton! Lucas and Sami made an amazing super couple back in the day. They had some incredible chemistry, but despite breakups, they managed to co-parent effectively. They’ve been friends over the years, could they become something more when Sami returns?

He truly cares for Lane, too. While Philip is single, he’s entrenched in some dire dealings with the mob. While Brady’s life is in order, his love life is complicated. Will he brush Kristen off for a romance that he can engage in? Will his feelings for Chloe over-ride his feelings for the mother of his daughter? Will Philip try and stand in Brady’s way?

With Ivan entering the Days’ scene recently, it’s hard to deny that Vivian Alamain could be the person behind the twins’ kidnapping. Teasers also relay that actress Jackée Harry’s character, Paulina, is involved, and she’ll be introduced to audiences as the story goes on. So, who kidnapped the twins? Vivian or Paulina? Paulina will also end up being a “good” person when all is said and done. Does Paulina steal the twins to protect them against Alamain? Perhaps Vivian had something awful planned and Paulina countered it with the help of Ivan (for whatever reason) before anything bad could happen?

Sarah and Xander are stronger than ever, but that could easily change. DOOL spoilers reveal that Sarah will be apprehensive about revealing Philip’s lies to Victor as this could bring harm to him. Added teasers imply that Xander may jeopardize Philip’s safety, and the entire thing could blow up in his face. Moreover, it may also cause concern for Sarah and create cracks in their relationship.
