DOOL spoilers for October tease that more of the year that Salem skipped will be played out this month. In fact, there will be a “mini-storyline” in October that places things back on track. It’ll last for about seven to eight days, and will dramatically change things for many in the little town. With the way 2020 has ended up, maybe Salem was doing the right thing in fast-forwarding the year!

Viewers have known since the summer that beloved fan-favorite Hope Brady was set to exit the small screen as actress Kristian Alfonso is leaving DOOL. A final air date has been set, and Alfonso recently posted this on her social media. Set your PVRs, as Hope’s last day in Salem will be Wednesday, October 14th. It feels like the end of an era.

10. Paternity Revealed

Since Allie’s arrived on the Salem scene, she’s been very hush-hush around who could be the dad of her baby boy is. DOOL spoilers hint that a “father will be revealed;” however, this storyline will entangle multiple characters on the show. Could Tripp be the father of Allie’s baby, or someone else? This storyline is about to get very complicated.

9. Major Recast

DOOL spoilers indicate that actress Melissa Reeves (Jennifer Horton Deveraux) will temporarily be leaving the show, and actress Cady McClain will be stepping into the role. Melissa has played Horton since 1985, and the legendary McClain is famous for soap opera roles in All My Children, As the World Turns, and Young and the Restless. No specific airdates available yet, so stay tuned!

Speaking of Haley, according to DOOL spoilers, JJ Deveraux is set to return soon, as actor Casey Moss reprises the role. For those that need a memory jogger, he left Salem earlier this year with mom Jenn, dad Jack, and sister Abigail to attend Bill Horton’s funeral in Africa, and decided to stay back, as he was still mourning the loss of Haley. Could he return to help get Kristen sent to jail?

There are some hints that Kristen may end up in jail by the end of the month. DOOL’s fall preview video offers up a scene that shows Kristen, along with Orpheus’ son Christian Maddox (played by actor Brock Kelly). For those that may recall, Christian was locked up in prison for his role in Jordan’s murder, so there’s a good chance he and Kristen might run into each other in the slammer. Yes, men and women’s prisons are separate, but this is the land of Salem where anything and everything is possible.

While we were all sad to see them go this past August, DOOL spoilers hint that Rafe and Gabi Hernandez are set for a return in the coming weeks. Both actor Galen Gering and actress Camila Banus will reprise their roles, and they’ll most likely be back at the end of October.
