5 Soap Opera Couples Who Could Be Couples In Real Life

Love rules the world of daytime television, and there is nothing better than watching your favorite soap opera couple fall in love, and embark on romantic adventures together. We see them on a day-to-day basis, and at times grow a vested interest in their happiness. But what if your favorite couples could turn their on-screen love into real-life happiness? Finding love on a soap opera set is certainly not an anomaly, as past daytimes couples have been able to turn their on-screen romance into true love reality. Below are five couples, that could potentially be couples in real life.

5. Lily and Kane Ashby – The Young and the Restless

Played by actors Christel Khalil and Daniel Goddard, Lily and Kane have been a soap super couple for approximately seven years now, and the actors have developed an incredible friendship together from working so closely over the years. It’s important to note, that Goddard is married, with two children; however, should things not work out, the two would make an incredible couple, sharing a certain chemistry both on and off the set of Young and the Restless (Y&R).

4. Carly and Sonny Corinthos – General Hospital

While both Laura Wright and Maurice Bernard are married and have been so for quite some time, as per Wright’s Instagram page. The two share a fun working relationship and seem to be quite close. It’s hard not to be when you have been working together on a daily basis for over ten years. Still, perhaps it is Sonny and Carly’s chemistry on-screen, that makes it seem that they would be such a good couple off-screen.

3. Kayla and Steve Johnson – Days of Our Lives

Patch and Kayla are going through another hard time after Steve’s affair with Ava, but as a super couple that has evolved for close to thirty years now, they will probably get through this as well. They have been oh-so close over the years, it only seems natural that Steve Nichols and Mary-Beth Evans would hit this list. Check out either of their Instagram accounts and you will see a plethora of photos of them together, doing promotional stuff for Days of Our Lives (DOOL), or just acting out on the set. They are both married, but if the moons aligned and things did not work out with their spouses, maybe they could turn a longtime friendship into something more.

2. Sharon and Nick Newman – The Young and the Restless

You simply cannot work with someone for over twenty years and not establish some sort of bond, which seems to be the case with Sharon Case and Josh Morrow. Working together on-set and doing side-by-side signings, these two seem like old chums. Still, the chemistry and bond they share on the Y&R is undeniable. While Morrow is married, Case seems to be unattached at the moment. Could they turn their soap super couple status into something in real-life?

1. Sharon and Adam Newman – The Young and the Restless

Speaking of Case, she and former costar Michael Muhney (ex-Adam Newman), seem to be pretty good friends. All you have to do is check out Sharon’s Instagram page, and you can see some pretty funny videos of her and Muhney cracking jokes. Sharon and Adam had some amazing chemistry on the Y&R, as a misfit couple that no one wanted to see together. While Muhney has moved on from the Y&R set, it’s clear their friendship has not ended or slowed down in the slightest. While Muhney is happily married, if anything were to change that status, he could always turn to Case for a shoulder to lean on.
