Who needs makeup?
Kim Kardashian went makeup-free during a shopping trip in Los Angeles this week — and she looks as glowing and great as ever. Still stylish in a casual white t-shirt, ripped white jeans, pointy nude heels and a luxurious cream-colored coat, 33 year-old Kim was spotted with fiance Kanye West at an outdoor store that sells ski and snowboard goods. Perhaps the couple is planning a romantic winter getaway?
The bigger news is Kim’s oversized, hand-painted custom Hermes Birkin bag, which was a holiday gift from Kanye. Kim shared an up close and personal look at the big via Instagram, with the hashtags #ChristmasPresentFromYeezy, #HandPaintedGeorgeCondo, #HermesBirkin and #OneofOne .
The bag features surrealist nudes and disfigured faces painted by renowned artist George Condo, whom Kanye has long been a fan of; the rapper also commissioned him to design five different covers for his 2010 album My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy. Check out the video to see the unusual handbag!
Perhaps Kim and Kanye have started a trend of surrealistic, controversial designer handbags – but even if you’ve got the cash, you won’t be able to carry around a Birkin just like Kim’s – it’s a one of a kind creation.
Not everyone is a fan; blogger Perez Hilton called the bag “insane” and “quite, uh something.” He also pointed out that the naked woman featured most prominently bears a resemblance to Kim. Maybe that’s why she likes it?
