A ‘PAW Patrol’ Movie Is In The Works

The PAW Patrol gang will have another big case to solve!

Nickelodeon Pictures, Spin Master and Paramount are bringing the popular kids show to the big screen next year in PAW Patrol: The Movie. The animated movie comes as the show has been renewed for an eighth season – and continues to be a favorite among many children across the world.

PAW Patrol follows the lives of 8 puppies – Chase, Marshall, Rubble, Skye, Rocky, Zuma, Everest and Tracker – as they perform rescue missions and go on adventures in the city named Adventure Bay.

PAW Patrol is on a roll into theaters in August 2021.

“We are thrilled to partner with Paramount and Nickelodeon to bring the ‘PAW Patrol’ franchise, and the characters that children love, to the big screen,” said Jennifer Dodge, Spin Master Entertainment’s EVP in a statement.

“Expanding PAW Patrol into the world of theatricals is a major milestone for this iconic property, and we can’t wait for kids and families everywhere to experience it together,” added Brain Robbins, President, Kids & Family Entertainment, ViacomCBS Domestic Media Networks.

Nickelodeon Pictures is also preparing for the release of another family animated film, The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge on the Run, which premieres this May. The trailer for the new flick, release last November, revealed that Keanu Reeves will make a special cameo appearance as a rolling ball of sage.

“Hello, call me Sage. I’m made out of sage and I am a Sage, so it works out pretty well,” Reeves said in the trailer.

The new SpongeBob movie will also feature Tom Kenny, who has voiced the titular character for over 20 years (and several other characters, including Gary the Snail).
