Olympic figure skating partners Meryl Davis and Charlie White are used to people thinking they’re a couple — but now there are new rumors circling.
Is Meryl dating her Dancing With the Stars partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy?
Meryl and Charlie sat down with HuffPost Live to talk about chemistry, friendship and public perception. Meryl gets a little uncomfortable when asked about the nature of her relationship with Maks — take a look at the video to check out her answer!
Charlie, who was paired with professional dancer Sharna Burgess and eliminated a week before the finals, says that part of the fun of Dancing With the Stars is developing a close relationship with someone during the intense environment of nonstop practice. But he also pointed out that he has a girlfriend (who isn’t his dancing or skating partner).
So are Meryl’s sexy moves with Maks just for show?
Charlie says he and Meryl have worked with mimes and actors to learn how to project the image of being in love, as a “character” — so that makes us think that Meryl would be good at putting on a show with Maks, too.
But Maks’ brother Val recently said in an interview, “He loves her probably more than I’ve seen him love another woman – he loves and adores her – but it’s like a King Kong type of relationship” – and that makes us think something else must be going on!
