At the same time The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) is looking forward, thanks to its just-announced two-year renewal, the CBS soap is also glancing backwards as it celebrates 35 years on the air.
For Katherine Kelly Lang, B&B’s accomplishments are very personal because she’s been along for the entire, incredible ride. So, it makes sense that Lang will star in a standalone episode geared to celebrate the show’s anniversary. The theme of the episode? The “five true loves” of Brooke Logan’s life.
Yet, as the actress spoke with ET about Brooke’s many marriages over the years, it became clear that she doesn’t remember all of them.
“I want to say 12,” Lang guessed, when asked how many weddings her character has had. The real answer? “21?” she balked. “I’m going to close my ears.”
While we can’t fault the award-winning actress for not remembering every nuptial, there are a handful she remembers fondly.
“I still remember the first wedding that I had to Ridge on the beach, riding a horse down,” Lang exclaimed. “Trotting in and getting off with this, it was kind of like a Cinderella dress. It was just very romantic and very much like Cinderella.”

“I was very partial to that dress, I think, because it was Brooke’s first wedding,” Lang continued. “Besides that there were so many, I can’t even remember.”
After 35 years of playing the same character, it’s no surprise that Lang’s opinions often converge with Brooke’s.
“They were all so different, and they all have their own personality,” she explained of her many marriages. “First, of course, Brooke fell in love with Ridge. Then it was Ronn Moss and now it’s Thorsten Kaye.”
“Bridge” fans will be happy to know that Lang name-dropped that wedding first. “That’s her little love of her life and always will be, in her mind,” Lang acknowledged.
“And then there was the brother, Thorne [Ingo Rademacher], and then the father, Eric Forrester [John McCook], and then going back and forth, having kids with the father, being married to the brother,” Lang exhaled. “But then there were the other loves in between the break-ups. She had a great relationship with Jack Wagner [who played Nick Marone], and they were also married.”
Lang also let slip a little spoiler for her upcoming standalone episode, which is set for March 24th. Apparently Jack Wagner was on the set at the time of her interview!
“And oh gosh, I’m probably forgetting people right now – Don Diamont, who plays Bill,” Lang remembered. “They had a wonderful, very strong and real relationship. I think Brooke felt mostly herself, maybe, with him.”
As Lang’s commentary mentioned Ridge, Thorne, Eric, Nick and Bill, perhaps viewers can adjust their expectations for the standalone episode.
