Back in February, Caitlyn Jenner then known as Bruce Jenner, was involved in a large car accident on a Malibu highway that left one dead.
After an investigation Jenner, 65, was determined to be at fault for the accident when her Cadillac Escalade crashed into the Lexus in front, which resulted in that car being pushed into oncoming traffic and causing the death of the Lexus driver, Kim Howe.
In the following months, the case has been eclipsed by Jenner’s transformation from Bruce to Caitlyn, but the investigation has been ongoing and it has now been handed over to the DA prosecutors who have to decide whether or not to charge Jenner with manslaughter.
If charged, the sentence could be up to one year in jail; however, many sources and experts do not believe that Jenner will serve any time behind bars. Due to the fact there was no evidence of drugs, alcohol or any type of impaired driving found, many believe there will be a much lesser charged handed to Jenner. “Basically, anyone can get into this situation behind the wheel like Ms. Jenner. This is just unsafe driving,” a former L.A. County prosecutor stated.
Jenner has been fully cooperative with the authorities throughout the investigation and offered a statement of “deepest sympathies” to the victim’s family following the crash.
