Katie Couric is now a married woman!
The 57 year-old TV journalist wed financier John Molner in a sweet backyard ceremony in the Hamptons over the weekend.
Katie says that she only picked out her ivory crystal beaded and embroidered Chantilly lace gown designed by Carmen Marc Valvo a week ago! Her now-husband was the one in charge of the wedding planning, and she joked that he even became a “Groomzilla.” He looked handsome in a dark blue suit and white shirt.
She chose to wear her blonde hair in a classic updo. Check out the video to see Katie’s wedding look!
About fifty friends and family members attended the event, including some of Katie’s bridesmaids — in hot pink dresses! — and her daughters Ellie (22) and Carrie (17), and John’s children Allie and Henry. In addition, nieces and nephews served as flower girls and ring bearers.
The wedding was a celebration of summer: the cake was strawberry lemon, served with strawberry sorbet. Flowers included peonies, garden roses, dahlias, lissianthus, spray roses, hydrangeas, mini calla, ranunculus, and vendela roses!
Katie and John dated for two years before he popped the question on a beach at sunset. “I think life is more fun when you have someone in your life,” Katie said in an interview about him.
