Young And The Restless’ (Y&R) Kelly Kruger and Bold And The Beautiful (B&B) star Darin Brooks are the proud parents of a new baby girl.
Everleigh Jolie Brooks was born in the early hours of Sunday, September 22 in Los Angeles. The baby weighed in at 9 lbs. and 1 oz. and was 21.5 inches long.
“It still feels so surreal, like one big blurry dream,” Kruger told PEOPLE. “We’ve waited so long to meet our little girl and we can’t believe she’s finally here! She’s everything!”
Brooks said he is thrilled to be a first-time father and cautioned he will not be spoiling his new daughter.
“But let’s be clear, I’m not going to let her get away with anything as she gets older,” he teased. “I’m not a pushover… she’s going to have to get a job soon.”
Kruger said the pair are still trying to figure out which one of them she looks like. Apparently, she has Kruger’s hair and Brooks’ height.
“Long lean and with great hair – she’s already a supermodel!” Brooks gushed. “Everyone always says, ‘your whole life changes and she’s gonna be the apple of your eye and a daddy’s girl,’ but it’s true!”
The couple had recently stated they’d been trying to have a baby for more than a year, so they are especially appreciative to have Everleigh Jolie in their lives.
“Jolie in French means beautiful, so we always knew that would be the name if we had a daughter one day,” Kruger said. “Then when we met her, she looked like an Everleigh and since it felt like forever from when we started trying to get pregnant to finally meeting her, the name just fit her perfectly.”
