July 22nd marks a very special day at Kensington Palace — Prince George’s birthday!
It’s become tradition that on each of the Royal children’s birthdays, the Palace releases portraits of the child to commemorate the occasion. To make the photos even more special, they’re often behind-the-scenes portraits taken by Kate Middleton herself, who has always had a passion for photography.
The photos released this year showed Prince George showing off a toothy grin while giggling in the grass in a true candid moment. He’s photographed wearing the official England National Soccer Team jersey. In another photo released, the 6-year-old looks a little more formal in a green polo shirt and striped shorts.
