Shia LaBeouf claims he was raped by a woman in the midst of his #IAmSorry art performance at an L.A. gallery. Nothing like a little “Say, what!?” to get everyone through their Friday.

The art installation lasted for five days, and consisted of Shia sitting in a room with a paper bag over his head that read “I am not famous anymore.” As he sat in the room, silent, patrons came into the room to spend time with the actor, observe the actor or in the case of one lustily-eyed woman, rape the actor.

According to Shia, the woman entered the room, and her boyfriend waited outside of the room. She then began whipping the actors legs, before she stripped him down and raped him. Shia wasn’t completely specific as to the act that occurred that would qualify the assault as rape, but if true… where the hell was security at this exhibit!?

Here’s what we want to know: Is Shia full of crap, or is this the truth? If true was this woman a dominatrix? Someone Shia knew? How would he allow her to go through with the act?

It also begs the question: Did Shia venture to his doctor’s office after the alleged incident and get thoroughly checked out?

Yes. The whole shebang sounds quite terrifying. But here’s to Shia for sharing the story, or making up a really great one. Personally, I’m inclined to believe every word he said. Living in L.A. for years, you see stranger things than this.

What do you think? Is Shia being transparent, or simply moving on with his next social art display, seeing how many people will believe a lie via media?
