Young and the Restless actor Tyler Johnson announced on Twitter that he’s leaving the sudser!
He first posted, “That’s all folks!!” This made fans nervous, so he followed up with, “I’ve always been an optimist. Today isn’t an end, but a new beginning. Thank you to everyone tuned in to watch “Theo Vanderway”- it was all a blast. The future is bright. Love you all.”

Johnson joined the CBS daytime drama back in June 2019. While his character was initially a friend of Kyle Abbott’s who was from New York City, it was later revealed that he was actually a member of the Abbott family.
In his time on Y&R, he’s been romantically linked with both Summer and Lola, and in the most recent episodes, he was left out of his grandmother Dina’s will.
There is no word yet on when Johnson’s last airdate will be. Also, it’s unclear if his character will be recast.
