On Monday, August 8, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson incited a feud that has now been running through the media for a week after he called out some of his Fast 8 male co-stars in an angry Instagram post.
After media outlets confirmed Johnson’s main problem was with Vin Diesel, reports quickly circulated that the cast and crew of Fast 8 were drawing lines and taking sides in the last week of filming, and it seems Tyrese is Team Diesel.
On Thursday, August 11, Tyrese took to his Instagram to praise Diesel amid all the drama the feud has incited. Tyrese posted a photo of himself with Diesel at a red carpet event and wrote a lengthy post to support Diesel. “Spreading love always… without saying I’ve had too many moments to counts, too many heart too hearts, we’ve celebrated in too many countries, too many exchanges, too many play dates with our angels…… Our brotherhood and every moment has inspired me to be a better man and father…. So much strength to pull from….. I’m so f—king proud to call you my family and my brother…. even now I’m learning so much about sitting still and being centered in the mist of all of this unexpected energy,” Tyrese began. He continued, “I’ve always said that if ONLY people knew how hard you work to protect this franchise and characters, minds would be blown…… The fans around the world who continue to show UP for us are just all around amazing…… And if no one else will jump out there and stand up I will – You’re my brother for life let’s keep it positive and keep rockin this thing…… My proudest post…… #FastFamily #F8 #PaulWeStillMissYouEveryday.”
Interestingly enough it seems Tyrese has deleted a repost he did earlier in the week, confirming that The Rock was also like family to him, and it wasn’t Tyrese that The Rock was talking about in his angry post. Meanwhile, Vin Diesel also made his own ominous post teasing fans that he will tell his side of the story, soon.
