Wally Kurth, who plays Ned Quartermaine, will return to General Hospital (GH) the week of November 18.

His reappearance in Port Charles will coincide with the homecoming of his daughter Brook Lynn Ashton (Amanda Setton), who also returns to GH next week. TVLine recently published a photo of Ned and his wife Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCiecero) welcoming Brook back to town.

Kurth will be performing double duty, as he also portrays Justin Kiriakis on Days Of Our Lives (DOOL), a role he’s played since 1987. He’s portrayed Ned on GH since 1991 and has played both characters on a recurring basis since 2009.

“The wonderful thing is that DAYS and GH coordinated and worked together and said that I can still go do GH,” Kurth recently told Soaps In Depth. “DAYS gets first choice if I have to work. But I can still do GH and Frank is allowing me to go do DAYS and also knows he can use me if he needs me to come on GH. So I’m the luckiest actor in town that I get to do both shows.”

A gifted musician, Kurth has displayed his musical talent often during GH’s annual Nurses Ball. He’s also appeared on several primetime shows including Law & Order: LA, Oh, Grow Up, Higglytown Heroes and Hot In Cleveland.

Ned will undoubtedly be pleased that his daughter Brooke has returned to Port Charles, but how will Olivia feel about it? Will Brook’s homecoming cause problems for Ned and Olivia? Keep watching GH to find out!
